A good example is when members from the same jobs from different companies go to seminars that have common sessions of teaching new techniques that can be applied in the workplace.

There are however disadvantages associated with employees getting trained both off-job and on-job. The cost of training may be very high for the business to afford. This is especially when the company has many new employees that it needs to train new techniques. The exercise also wastes a lot of time which can be used in increasing output.
