In order to stand out, do not cast aside a creative concept you might have in mind.

Computer knowledge is integral, whether you are talking about polygons or general coding. Those who understand game design are multi-faceted as far as their interests in school are concerned.
3. Staying up-to-date with developing trends in the gaming industry should not go overlooked. This is especially true when the video game business is, for the most part, a rapidly-changing field. Sometimes a story may go unnoticed but you have to make it a point to read up and understand the developments that you, as a student, can make use of in the future. The more that you pick up on in the media, the better of a career you will have once you graduate.
