Blog marketing is becoming more and more popular accross the internet for people looking for ways to get lots of money now and for people that are starting an internet marketing business for the first time, expanding an offline business to the new world of the internet, or wanting to step up their promotional efforts for programs that they are marketing such as affiliate programs or network marketing opportunities.

Blogs offer many competitive advantages to other means of promotional advertising in that for a relatively low cost, a blog can priovide a long term presence in the market which is sustainable. Blogs also provide a centralized hub-like system to promote their business to their markets if done correctly. Learning how to write a blog becomes a competitive advantage to market effectively for the long term and leverage your up-front efforts for months and years to come.

Most unsuspecting beginner marketers will spend too much money on over-hyped one click wonder products, trying to get rich quick as promoted to them that do not work. There is also an unmistakeable lure to the fast traffic and instant results of PPC (pay per click) promotion of their product offers only to watch their costs multiply while providing zero to little return in actual sales conversions. However, good bloggers will continue to attract quality free traffic as they rank on search engines while also receiving visitors from the social media interactions that will continue on into the future indefinitely to earn money blogging if you know how to blog the right way.

Current or Trending Stories or Videos... take some time to search what's trending today on the news, google, yahoo, youtube or facebook. What are people interested in today i.e. celebrities, sports, music, health, stocks, economy, etc.

What are your interests or do you want to learn more about a particular topic? What areas do you have experience in or how did you overcome a particular challenge or some achievements?

Perform some keyword research on your topic to have some confidence that your topic is going to drive enough traffic from searches on your topic. This will tell you others like your topic and want to learn more from you? Have a main keyword picked out and some related variations for seo purposes in your blog content.

Research other successful blogs in your market that attract a lot of visitors paying attention to topics and writing styles.

Start Writing...and keep on writing!

Get your thoughts down first. It is important not try to edit your work as you're writing. This sounds obvious, but it commonly creates a problem for many bloggers and you may not actually end up writing anything at all by stopping too often.

Use your own unique personality and follow your internal beliefs to gain credibility over time. So just be yourself and be honest about how you feel in expressing your content. People really want to hear what you honestly think about a particular topic. Try to write as if you are speaking to your friends or family.

Blog Daily or at least on a consistent basis - Don't worry about making every post perfect. The content that you're writing is what's most important anyway. The most important attribute of how to write a blog is creating interesting content on a consistent basis whether daily or less often.
