Dear players, you are here to seek for the help which is the purpose of this guide when the economy in World of Warcraft is taken into account. By using this guide you will be educated of using all powerful Auction House and making the best purchase and bargain. Let's see what the Auction House is and how it works.

Wow's Auction House has been a subject of envy for all players that were playing other mmorpgs, simply because it was the best made solution for players. Auction Houses or in short AHs can be found only in the capital cities in the old map of Azeroth: Stormwind, Darnassus, Ironforge and Exodar on the Aliance side and Undercity, Ogrimmar, Thunderbluff and Silvermoon City for the Horde side.

Use of the Auction House

After getting the AH you need to click on one of the Auctioneers. There are categories of items and goods on the left side that you can search through. The sub-categories make your search easier by clicking on the Weapons as an example. The upper frame shows a text box that displays Name, Level - Range and a drop down menu that reads All. By clicking the All tab, you could specify your search as poor, common, uncommon, epic or rare items depending on the quality of the item that you are searching for. Click on the Search button on the right side while searching through all by leaving it as it is. It is advisable not to search through all items, since there are chances of losing so many items on the AH. Type the exact name of the item that you know in the Name text box and click on Search. Then the AH will show the current list of all available items. You can go to the next page/pages by using the link given at the down side.

There is an option to see how an item would look on you i.e. armor and weapons. Hold CTRL key and left click on the item and you will be able to see it. This option is popularly called "the dressing room". When buying an item you should make sure to check its price. The Buyout price is the maximum price and by selecting an item and clicking on the Buyout button located at the bottom of the AH window you will be able to purchase an item right away.

As soon as you see the first price, you can bid on the item. By clicking on the Bid button which is present at the bottom of the AH window, you can bid. Of course, you can bid on the cheaper priced item, but keep in mind that the other players will also do the same and it will be a long follow-up. If somebody outbids you for the amount of gold that you bade on, then your given amount will be returned to you via mail. As soon as the particular auction expires, the item will be sent to you via mail on the condition that you managed to buy the item without being outbid.

If you would like to sell an item, click on the Auctions tab on the left side at the bottom of the AH window. Place an item in the Auction item slot; fill in the Starting price and the Buyout price and the check the length of your Auction duration. You can put 12 hours for short, 24 hours for long and 48 hours for very long auction. It is advisable that you check the prices on the same item before you make your own auction, lower your price a bit and then put it on. If the item is sold you will get the gold on your email with a small percentage fee that the AH takes. If the item isn't sold it will return to you when the auction expires.

By clicking on the Auctions and Bids tabs, you can monitor your auctions and bids every time.
