Apple IPhone 5 - Are The Rumours Just Hype Or Are They Fact?

By Abhik Nag

At the moment there are lots of Apple iPhone 5 rumours floating around the market place. It is very hard however to determine if these rumours are fact or fiction though. There is a strong chance that most of these rumours are false, created by people who are not affiliated with Apple in any way. Alternatively there has been much speculation that this could just be a strategy created by Apple to create considerable hype for its new iPhone 5 in an attempt draw peoples attention away from faults found with the Apple iPhone 4.

Make no mistake, the iPhone 4 is an excellent product. It is a more technologically advanced product than the earlier versions. It is quite different from the earlier models as it is packed with a few multitasking features. With its Retina Eye display and an improved 5 mega pixel camera this product is still very good. However, somewhere down the line Apple seems to have lost its way.

The iPhone 4 has been plagued with problems, such as, call drops and antenna issues. This has caused a large amount of negitivity from critics who have unnecessarily slated Apple. What they tend to forget however is that this is still the same model which sold 1.7 million units within the first few days of its launch. From then on the company has sold more than 14 million more units of this phone. When producing such large volumes of products such as the iPhone 4, a certain number of complaints are really just to be expected, they could even be considered normal. One of the other factors which has also hindered it was that it was not released in many Asian countries. This was made worse when Apple did not release White iPhone 4, resulting in people deriding the company.

The biggest rumour curently circling the internet is that the Apple iPhone 5 is going to be released this summer. Apple has released its new iPhone into the market at the same time of year consecutively year on year as part of its fixed cycle. This is the ideal season for the company to release their new model because it allows the new product time to establish itself within the market. Also by not releasing it until the summer, this gives Apple plenty of time to come out with both an innovative and new product at a time of year when people are looking for something new, innovative and more advanced to buy.

Due to stiff competition from other major players within the market, the Apple iphone 5 rumours, which have been circling, may just be a reflection on how Apple, is being affected in the market place. Apple is certainly being affected now that customers have other options apart from just theirs and are certain to have some tough times ahead. The Android is very similar to the iPhone 4 and offers users a similar experience. The HTC Desire HD and the Samsung Galaxy 5 are other options which offer customers a similar if not better experience than the iPhone 4.

There are a considerable number of people who are expectantly hoping that the Apple iPhone 5 will be released ahead of schedule, before its suspected June - July date. It is however safe to assume that when the new model is finally introduced to the market, that Apple would have corrected the problems found with the iPhone 4 resulting in better reception and antenna quality.

Apple has neither confirmed or denied any of the rumours so far but this hasen't stopped the large majority of mobile/cell phone websites online from speculating about the new iPhone.

According to the rumours the iPhone 5 is going to have an advanced operating system when compared to the earlier models. It is expected to enhance its capability to access 4G networks. The fast 1.5 GHz processor is expected to improve the performance quality of the phone. It is also expected to come with a new battery that will provide 7 hours of talk time on 4G networks and 14 hours talk time on 3G networks.

Memory features expected on the new model are said to be around the 64 GB and 32 GB mark which is a distinct improvement over the memory capacity currently available on the iPhone 4. For the user this means that more data and information can be downloaded and stored, as well as, a considerable amount of pictures, videos and songs.

Apple have made some what of a deviation by offering a much larger display screen, totalling 4 inches in size on the new release, unlike previous iPhone versions which were only 3.5 inches in comparision, if you go by what the rumours are saying that is. The screens OLED touch screen display will be totally scratch and shatter resistant. If this wasen't already enough it is also said to be stain resistant and will also be able to give pictures of a much higher quality lots of clarity.

An Apple dual core A5 CPU will be used to power the iPhone 5, it will have NFC support and also some amazing graphics as well. There is a strong likelihood that it will have much more innovative features than earlier versions, some believe, such as, an 8 mega pixel camera. This will be a serious improvement over the 5MP camera which the iPhone 4 currently has. Other advanced features are said to greatly improve image and video quality, aswell as a GeoTagging feature and an auto focus.

If these unverified rumours are to be believed, the new iPhone 5 is going to be the most advanced smart phone in the market. Even before any confirmation from Apple, there are many mobile handset sites that are touting this to be the ultimate product and that it is going to create huge demand in the market place.

If the rumours have any real truth to them, then the amount of features available on the new version will certainly take the world by storm. It could be said that the amount of hype currently surrounding the unreleased iPhone 5, is a fantastic way for Apple to maintain a loyal customer base and allow them to move away from the bad press which they received for early problems found with the iPhone 4.

There are large numbers of people who are trying to find out about special iPhone 5 deals and have been calling Apple dealers. However, Apple have given no official word, so you will just have to wait for the big day.
