You can fix the bad reception issue of your television through its antenna by repositioning its antenna, then moving your TV to a higher location, checking antenna and TV connection, next is by using an amplifier, and finally by waiting for the weather to clear.

If you are experiencing bad TV reception, you do not have to call the professional to fix the issue. It is because; fixing the reception of the TV set through its aerial can be executed very easily and conveniently. Here is how to do it.

If your tv set is having poor reception from its aerial, the first and most basic thing that you can do is to alter the aerial of your tv by repositioning it. You may move the antenna ears to the opposite direction. In case there is a window in the room, you may also first try to direct the placement of the aerials toward the window region, where the best signals are often provided.

If you are obtaining a snowy image from your television and not simply a grainy one, or the pictures are no longer colored, you may need to bring your tv and its aerial to a different location at home, particularly to a higher floor. Usually, televisions will obtain a much better reception when placed on a higher floor where there antennas can also get a stronger signal. With that in mind, if you've your TV in the basement, move it to the bottom floor or a much higher floor, if possible.

It is possible that after you have moved and relocated the television and the aerial, you'll now get no picture at all. This is most likely just because the connection between the antenna and the Television was loosened or dislodged. All you have to do is examine this connection from the back of the tv and the cable that connects to the aerial, and then ensure that they're securely fitted together.

In case the image from the TV isn't clear or stable, you should attach an amplifier to the antenna to boost the reception of your television set. Amplifiers are easily found and bought in most stores that provide electronics and accessories. It is also easy to connect one to the antenna of any TV set so the images supplied by the tv will become much better and stronger.

If you are still experiencing a poor TV reception despite having done all the recommendations being suggested above, check out the condition of the weather outside. A stormy, windy, and snowy weather can affect the aerial's signal and hence cause a bad Tv reception. So, wait to modify once again the aerial of your Tv until the temperature outside has improved.
