Google's Secret Algorithm Is Ever Changing

By Lorselle Blanchard

Recently, a news website reported that the CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, is frequently frustrated when people keep asking him about the ranking algorithm that the mega search engine uses. Among the many frequent questions, Schmidt reportedly keeps having asked why Google does not share its 200 factors when ranking.

Involving this issue, Schmidt stated that the main reason behind the secrecy is that there is no tangible factor. The idea is that Google frequently changes its algorithm, and they prefer not to disclose the idea about how everything works because changes come rapidly and they would rather not deal with all the pressure and examination that may come from the SEO community.

Google is also cautious that if they divulge the current algorithm, this essential piece of information may be exploited by online marketing communities and some SEO groups, and things might get out of hand. It is a fact that there are a lot of people who may use the algorithm for personal gain instead of the good of the online community. With the Google algorithm released, other users of the Internet may be able to use it for no good.

For now, the easiest thing that SEOs can do is to attempt to study the changes that Google has made with each update. It is a good thing that Google does not often make extreme alterations with every update. Though constant, the modifications are done step by step which allows newbies to learn as they get along. For those who are fresh to SEO, it is best to learn the basics first before attempting to take on Google's algorithm.

As it is, SEO will remain challenging not only for new users but also for seasoned SEOs and SEO companies. This is a challenge for newcomers to find a quality SEO company that is able to keep up with Google's SEO algorithm alterations and reach the desired results needed.
