Hijab - Dispelling the Myths

The Jilbab has gently become a symbol of strong assertion of an Islamic identity for girl in the Muslim community worldwide. Therefore much has been discussed and debated concerning this attire from it being a symbol of oppression subjugating them to will of a male dominated world view right down to restricting participation of female in society.

Since, it's a significantly debated topic in the media the question that arrives to mind, what is the Jilbab? This requires a whole article to just answer that accordingly here is a very short endeavor to answer the question. The Jilbab is a long cloak costume according to the verses of the Holy Qur'an verse (333: 59) instructed to Muslim lady. It's symbol of modesty, Islamic status and a defensive measure against unwarranted sexual advances by promoting self respect, dignity and honour for lady.

As this debate has taken place from east to the west there has been several strong hostility for Muslim female. Hijab ban in France, Turkey and Tunisia are just a few examples that come to mind. This has not hindered the determination of Muslim lady to come out more resilient. Only a simple search of Jilbab on Google will display results showing that female in the Muslim community have many creativity in inventing very chic and elegant patterns of Jilbab.

They have answered all the critics by coming out with fashionable designs of Jilbab range from sportswear, casual wear, smart and elegant Jilbab patterns. The latest introduction to this range has been a burkini which is a swimwear apparel for female to wear in swimming pools and beaches. The evidence is clear to suggest that Jilbab is not a hindrance however , required a creative approach to re-style it to suit the needs of the Muslim lady of today. This allows the woman's to fulfil the moral Islamic obligations also as appear comfortable that she actually is not betraying the woman's religion to play a positive role in society.

The various range of Jilbabs are designed to cater for that need for the girl's to be a mother, wife, employee, business female or have time to follow leisurely pursuits for the wellbeing of the girl health.
