There are very many methods of communication used in companies. Some of them include the use of messengers, emailing, word of mouth and most important of them all, use of telephone systems. Phones have been used in offices for a very long time. This is because of their efficiency and reliability among many other factors. That is why we are going to focus on them in this article.

Companies and office complexes usually have many telephones that are used to communicate to people outside or within the company. All this communication must be well managed so as to ensure that there is no breakdown. That is why many companies use telephone systems. A telephone system is an organized network of phones that enables people to communicate effectively in a company. It improves coordination between the management and the workers therefore saving on time and money.

A phone system has several additional features that enable it to operate more efficiently than the basic phone. Some of these features include voicemail, auto attendants, ring groups and directories. These features make it easier for people to communicate, since you can call a person in the company by the touch of a single button.

The network service can either be Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) or can be provided by the Local service providers. Both systems work in the same way however VoIP is cheaper then Local service providers.

The first one is known as private branch exchange (PBX). This type of system is ideal for medium and large companies. They are available in many sizes and are currently the most advanced type in the market. Most of them are designed to allow expansion in case the need arises.

Next, are the key system units (KSU). They are cheaper than the PBX and are perfect for small and medium companies. They do not have all the features that the PBX has but are efficient and economical.

Finally we have the KSU-Less system. It serves small companies and can only hold up to ten phones. It does not have a central base unit, so each individual phone must have all the functionalities. It is mostly used to provide basic phone services to the company.

Telephone systems enable businesses to operate more efficiently by reducing the time it takes for information to circulate and cost of employing extra messengers. Therefore it is important for every company to installs these systems so as to ensure ease in their operations. Read more about: telephone systems
