After successfully setting up a conglomerate of hotels, resorts, golf courses, and the like, what is left for any man to do? One idea is to make something that is helpful to a lot of people. That was what Daniel Chavez Moran did.

Aiming to promulgate Latin influences and social sciences, Daniel Jesus Chavez Moran came up with the idea to start his very own foundation and he came up with the name Grupo Vidanta. Finding a way to help people who are constantly exposed to poverty and inequality is the goal of the foundation and they are intent on helping people whether they are of Latin descent or not. Moran got the name of his foundation from his own development company which is in charge of operating vacation spots around the world and an airport in Mexico.

When it comes to this particular developing group, they are responsible for thousands of employees and about 20 high class resorts. 2005 was the year when the Grupo Vidanta foundation was created by Moran and his people. Actually, the charitable arm was supposed to be referred to as The Grupo Mayan.

The never ending poverty situation in Latin America is one of the many things that people are being educated about by the people working with this particular foundation headed by a man by the name of Roberto Russell. Aside from political concerns, they also discuss social affairs with the communities that they reach out to. They are showing how these elements are continuously affecting the lives of people from the region.

One of the goals of Grupo Vidanta is to see to it that relationships among Latin American countries remain intact. The relationship that is shared by the different Latin American regions like Brazil, Chile, and Haiti is what the foundation would like to introduce to the world and show how their efforts can help with the One of their regions, Haiti, has just been struck by a massive natural disaster and the world clearly showed how it will readily support one fallen comrade at any time of need.

The participation of Latin America in world activities is what the foundation is striving to achieve. When it comes to what Latin America can provide, the possibilities are endless to say the least. Latin American countries and people are some of the friendliest, outgoing, religious, festive and fun-loving people in the world, and the rest of the globe can learn from that.

Democratic strength is another element that this particular foundation would like to improve on. Poverty and inequality are some of the crises that they want to solve and political influences play a big role. The main focus of this foundation is actually the economic and social development of all Latin American regions.

One of the many activities that the foundation is engaged in is the distribution of books and scholarly research. Economic benefit and democracy are two things that these publications are focused on. One of the published books is entitled Falling Behind: Explaining the Development Gap between the United States and Latin America.

Aside from educators, the foundation is also working to get the attention of economists and politicians all over the world. One of the main concentrations of the seminars that the foundation conducts is sustainable economic growth. A number of different projects that serve to counter poverty and inequality are also recognized by this particular foundation.

This foundation has been able to make a lot of effort for social development in Latin America even if they are recognized as one of the new bloods in this kind of work. They will not stop fighting against inequality in Latin America. The foundation's goals and objectives clearly show who Daniel Chavez Moran is as the one who started everything.
