Best Prom Dresses And Best Hairdos

By Teresa K Knight

Prom Dresses will definitely be a big element of your overall look. But so will your hairstyle which is why we are going to speak about these two factors. If you are looking for some excellent ideas for hairdos for this prom, try taking a little ideas from the red carpet. Hair accessories have strike the red carpet with a vengeance this year and they are guaranteed to add some extra style to your prom hair. Have a shot at adding a tiara, fancy clips, rhinestone combs, a flower, or a ribbon headband to quickly switch your style from uninteresting to stunning.

You can try the Looped Ponytail. This easy, stunning style can have you ready and out of the door in just 30 minutes. First, tug your hair upwards into a high ponytail. When you have curly or wavy hair, straighten it by using a flat iron first. Tame all stray hairs or frizz by spraying the top of your hair using a spray gel and gently brushing it down flat. When your hair is sleek and smooth, split the ponytail into 3 sections. Roll each section under and pin each with a couple of bobby pins or hair clips in a different direction. Be creative with the directions; there aren't any rules regarding how this particular style have to look. To finish your look, include a flower, decorative hair clip, or perhaps tiara.

Depending on what you're motivated to get for prom night, the prom gown is most likely the priciest item on your list. The dress is so hard to price mainly because there's every type of quality on the market, and that means you may spend between $75 to $500 for your dress. But does it mean that a dress is worthy of what you spend for it? Sometimes it does, it sometimes doesn't. Fact is, it's not about the price, but about the level of quality, look, and feel of the particular gown.

There are actually dresses that you spend a fortune for, but they are waste; and there are gowns that are superb treasures, and are quite literally deals. Whatever you end up paying, keep in mind that prom is a very special evening, and that you don't want to look like something the cat's been playing with. And absolutely bear in mind: prices are not the ultimate word on quality!

Prom dresses should be selected carefully. In order to avoid the sizing dilemma, always look at a manufacturer's size charts for homecoming gowns. These list the Bust line, Waist, and Hip dimensions for each and every size. It is often advisable to choose the size that corresponds to the biggest of your bust, waist, or hip measurements. Simply put, if you're a size 36 bust and a size 26 waist, and the dimensions chart shows size 36 busts equals size 8, but size 26 waist equals size 6, then grab size 8. You can always have the waist taken in later. The problem is that you can't always have the bust (or other dimension) taken out for the reason that there may not be sufficient cloth.
